Privacy notice

What we collect

The enquiry form collects your name, email address, the engagement you are asking about, who the plan is for if you choose to say, a preferred date, and the message you write. Please do not include account numbers, card numbers, or copies of identity cards in that message.

If an engagement goes ahead, we keep the papers you choose to bring: pension letters, fund statements, spending notes, and the written note we prepare. We also keep a record of meetings and of fees received.

The site can store a consent choice in your browser and, only if you accept analytics, a first-party cookie named rr_analytics. Details are on the cookie notice.

Why we use it

Enquiry details are used to reply and to propose a time. Engagement files are used to prepare the note you asked for and to keep a record of what was said, which is in our legitimate interest and, where the work is paid, necessary for the contract. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it to advertise other people’s products.

How long we keep it

Unanswered or completed enquiries that do not become an engagement are deleted or anonymised within twenty-four months. Engagement files, including the note and the papers you left with us, are kept for seven years after the last meeting, so that a question about the advice can still be answered. Fee records are kept for the period Thai accounting rules require.

Your rights

Under the Personal Data Protection Act you may ask to access the personal data we hold, to correct it, to delete it where the law allows, to restrict or object to certain uses, and to receive a copy in a portable form where that applies. You may also lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Committee of Thailand. We may need to keep a note of advice already given even after a deletion request, where the law or a dispute requires it. We will explain any refusal.

International transfers

The office itself is in Narathiwat. Email and website hosting may store messages on servers outside Thailand, depending on the host. Where a transfer outside Thailand occurs, we rely on the grounds the Personal Data Protection Act provides, including a contract with the host that requires appropriate protection, or your request that we correspond with you by email. We do not move client papers to a foreign marketing list.

Sharing

We share personal data with the email and banking providers needed to reply and to receive a fee, and with a professional adviser of ours if a complaint requires it. We share your papers with another person only when you ask us to, for example a spouse who attends the meeting or an accountant you name.
